Frequently Asked Questions

Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers.

We know bringing in “a couple more guys” might come with a couple of questions. Below you’ll find clear answers about our pricing, booking process, policies, and what we can (and can’t) do—so you know exactly what to expect before you book.

General Questions

We’re an on-demand labor service that provides insured, two-person crews to help with moving, lifting, hauling, organizing, setup, teardown, and more. Think of us as the extra hands you need to get the job done faster, easier, and safer.

We primarily operate within about 25 miles of our home office in Delafield, serving clients throughout the surrounding area. For larger or longer projects, we’re often able to travel beyond that range as well. In those cases, a small travel fee may apply.

Pricing & Payment

Our pricing is simple: $150 per crew hour, which includes at least two “guys”, basic tools and a truck for hauling when necessary.

Yes, there is a one-hour minimum for every job.

Jobs that run longer are billed at the standard hourly rate. While we’ll always do our best to extend time, we can’t guarantee availability if crews are fully booked. Crews will give you a heads-up before time runs out so you can decide whether to extend.

Full payment is due immediately upon completion of the work. Our crews are able to collect payment by cash, check or by credit card on site.

Never expected, always appreciated. We’re proud to say that we pay our Guys very well for the work they do—so tipping should never feel required. That said, if your crew went above and beyond and you’d like to show a little extra appreciation, it truly does make their day.

Booking & Process

  1. Book online using our simple form.
  2. A member of our team will call you to confirm details.
  3. Your crew arrives ready with tools, experience, and muscle.

We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred time. Same-day requests may be available depending on scheduling—though only by phone. Reach out if you have an urgent need and we’ll see what we can do.

Yes, just let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust.

Policies & Safety

Yes. For safety and practicality, crews may decline or stop any job once on site if it is unsafe or beyond scope. In these cases, you’ll receive a full refund for any unused time if paid in advance.

We’re built for lifting and moving, but extremely large, unsafe, or specialized items (like pianos) may not be possible. Crews will review details with you ahead of time.

Couple More Guys® is not a replacement for licensed professionals. For your safety and ours, we do not handle:

  • Plumbing, electrical, or HVAC work
  • Roofing or ladder work at unsafe heights
  • Tree cutting, removal, or chainsaw use
  • Hazardous materials cleanup or disposal
  • Any specialized trade requiring certification or permits

If you’re unsure whether your project is a fit, just ask—we’ll gladly point you in the right direction.

Other Common Questions

Yes. Our crews are made up of our hired professionals—never contractors. They are fully insured for the work we perform.

Yes, each crew arrives with a truck and basic tools. For specialized equipment (like uncommon power tools or large machinery), we’ll confirm what’s needed during your booking call.

Not exactly and for many customers, that’s a big advantage. A Couple More Guys® specializes in the heavy lifting, careful handling and in-home moving that make local moves easier, safer and more flexible. We don’t operate large box trucks or handle long-distance relocations, but we regularly work with homeowners and businesses who already have transportation arranged, such as a U-Haul, portable storage container or borrowed truck.

For smaller local moves, light transports and partial relocations, we also offer trailer-assisted service, which can be a simple and cost-effective solution.

Many customers prefer this approach because it gives them control over the truck and timing while our trained, insured two-person crews handle the physical work that matters most including loading, unloading and moving items within the home or building. If your project requires a larger truck or full-service mover, we’re always happy to point you in the right direction.

For small moves, we offer trailer service, which can be a great fit for small apartments, partial moves and lighter loads. For larger moves, customers typically provide the truck while we handle the heavy lifting.

Yes, in most cases, we do haul items away. We regularly help with garage and basement cleanouts, donation runs, and general decluttering projects. Whenever possible, we love to donate usable items, though disposal fees may apply for items that require paid drop-off. We typically add a half hour to the job for the time needed to complete the donation or disposal run, plus any actual disposal costs. We’re not able to accept hazardous materials, chemicals, paint, or other items requiring special handling.

Absolutely. From event setup to warehouse help, we’re available for both residential and commercial jobs.
